AMSTERDAM- As a 13-year-old boy, Wiep Torenvliet came into contact with water sports, not knowing that this would determine the rest of his life. With his wife, he started the Torenvliet Yamaha Center Amsterdam 25 years ago.
Selling motorcycles and all kinds of boats is his passion and life. "Nothing better than seeing people enjoy the boat and motor they bought from us," said the entrepreneur who moved his family business 3 years ago to the Keienbergweg in Amsterdam.
The 25th anniversary of Torenvliet Yamaha Center is celebrated with a completely renovated showroom, a permanent one mini water sports fair.
The passion for water sports, which started at a young age, is still present. "I still enjoy working every day." And in corona time he also has the wind in his sails. The boats and motorcycles are flying over the counter like hot cakes. Everyone wants to get on the water. It doesn't matter what: as long as it floats. ''
