Meet the new F375 XTO

Yamaha's amazing 8 horsepower V425 XTO, introduced just a few months ago, has turned the marine world upside down. Not only by using previously unattainable technologies, but also by improving the user experience in ways that one would not have dared to dream. We are proud to announce a new introduction ...

Yamaha's new 5,6 liter V8 - the F375 XTO

The new 375 horsepower model is an addition to the Yamaha V8 series. In terms of outboard performance and handling, this model offers incredible new applications within the reach of an even wider range of boats. The new F375 XTO shares much of its advanced technology with the impressive 425 hp Yamaha V8 XTO, offering several 'firsts', such as the direct injection fuel system and fully integrated electric steering.

With a cylinder capacity of 5,6 liters, unprecedented high torque, exceptional thrust and an exciting 375 horsepower, the new F375 XTO is much more than an ordinary outboard. These engines have taken their place on the market and are fully integrated power systems that create an entirely new class of extreme offshore performance and control. Especially when combined with the latest generation of Yamaha's integrated Helm Master® control system, in combination with the CL7 ™ display.

Yamaha - a worldwide reputation for high quality

Just like its sister, the new F375 XTO was designed to raise the brand's high quality Yamaha position to an even higher level. With an enormous amount of power and a large thrust, unrivaled robustness and reliability, complete system integration and precise control, combined with ultimate ease of use and good service.

Yamaha has been able to achieve this by 'rediscovering' the concept of the outboard motor and its systems, by using technologies that are new to the marine world and, of course, drawing on many years of specific experience in outboard motor technology and high-quality innovation that Yamaha is known for worldwide.

Extreme power, torque and thrust

Delivering the pure raw power needed to 'propel' the heaviest and largest offshore boats and luxury RIBs requires massively sturdy gear transmissions and the most robust power units ever made. Due to the intense cooperation of these parts, very large propellers can be driven. The two new XTO engines are already unique, being the marine world's first four-stroke direct injection outboards. High-pressure direct injection of the fuel into the combustion chamber significantly improves atomization and increases fuel efficiency for maximum power and efficiency.

Extreme combustion efficiency

The advanced direct injection system has no less than five fuel pumps and generates an injection pressure up to 200 bar! The three-stage fuel pressure system is also equipped with two independent fuel pumps that are activated at specific, individual speed levels in a vapor separation tank (VST tank). This ensures an unprecedented high accuracy of fuel metering and delivery, even at maximum speed.

Yamaha's F375 XTO also features an incredible 12,2: 1 compression ratio. The In-Bank ™ exhaust function directs the gas to the bottom unit and out through the center of the propeller hub, improving flow. In simple terms, this means a greater “bang” from each spark, extreme combustion efficiency and greater power.

The pumps can also be called extreme!

Not only for the fuel, in an advanced engine like this, unparalleled pump technology is necessary, but also for water and oil. That is why the F375 XTO is equipped with a unique two-stage water and oil pump. Both designed for consistent, trouble-free operation at high revs.

The water pump has a huge rubber impeller for the high pressure, and a super strong steel impeller. Together they ensure a high volume of cooling water flow and precise temperature control at all speed levels, even under the most extreme offshore conditions.

Extreme toughness and reliability - pre-built

In addition to the extra-large gear transmission, the hardened gears, the robust offshore bracket and the super-strong engine mounts, the F375 XTO is also equipped with a plasma fusion technology for the cylinder walls. This makes the engine not only more durable, but also considerably more compact.

The surface with micro-texture is 60% harder than steel and considerably lighter, which creates a larger engine capacity without increasing the size of the power source. The lower surface friction also contributes to a maximum reduction in fuel consumption.

The two overhead camshafts on each cylinder bank are driven by a self-tensioning chain immersed in an oil bath for precise valve timing and long service life. The carbon-coated key-holders increase durability and ensure quiet and consistent timing.

Extreme system integration for power and control

Another 'first' is the fully integrated electric steering system. This fully integrated electric steering system has no hydraulic lines or rods, so it responds faster and smoother than conventional systems and provides a compact build. Of course, the ultimate control is a combination of the F375 XTO with Yamaha's unique integrated Helm Master® control system, with the revolutionary joystick control and the CL7 ™ color display.

In this model, it is also about extreme ease of use

The new XTO OS ™ propellers are specially made for the massive torque of the F375 XTO from Yamaha. These propellers, which work with diameters from 16 to 17? inch, produce more thrust, both forward and backward. The latest leaf design brings with its enormous surface even the largest boats with less effort and greater control in motion.

Thanks to the new exhaust system, these propellers offer another advantage: in reverse the exhaust gases have no negative effect, for up to three times more thrust than our F350. This means that maneuvering is considerably easier.

With the F375 XTO you do not need to leave the port for maintenance. Thanks to our unique oil change system of the tailpiece, it is possible to carry out maintenance without the boat having to leave the water. The F375 XTO also has a great charging capacity and delivers a total (gross) power up to 90 Ampere.

The future of 'extreme performance' has arrived!

In short, with this new V8 XTO Offshore and the latest F375 XTO, Yamaha is at the forefront of 'extreme' all-round performance. It is a unique feeling to live this unprecedented experience as an owner. Revolutionary design, cutting-edge technology, superior innovation, quality and excellence: this is the future that brings Yamaha to the here and now!

The F375 XTO is available from this autumn in the classic color Yamaha Gray.

The model will be introduced at 19 January 2019 at Boot Düsseldorf.
