More powerful. More acceleration: Yamaha announces the new F80.

Even lighter and more compact - that's how Yamaha made the latest generation F80 faster and more powerful

When you pioneer the development and production of the most advanced outboard engines in the world, and offer your customers the widest and most ideal model line with clean, smooth, fuel-efficient, four-stroke outboard engines for every application, what is the next step?

If you are a Yamaha, expand your impressive experience with that technology and use it to further improve and refine your very best models.

A good example of this is the recently introduced F100, which is now joined by a new outboard engine: the stunning new F80. These outboard engines have already established their reputation worldwide as a highly sought-after engine for medium-high speeds with excellent performance, especially for water sports, fishing and leisure, but now have even more power and faster acceleration.

Without compromising the legendary power and reliability for which all Yamaha outboards are world famous, our engineers have not only redesigned certain components to make this latest F80 even more compact, but also achieved significant weight savings. The result? More power, more speed and greater acceleration from a standstill. These factors contribute to making a boat feel more lively and responsive - and they provide the perfect solution for owners of older XNUMX-strokes who want to take advantage of the many irresistible advantages of the very latest XNUMX-stroke stern technology.

Not only does the F80 deliver great performance, but it also delivers smoother and quieter, with ultra-low noise and vibration levels - which are especially noticeable at lower speeds - thanks to the new design of the exhaust system and rubber engine mounts, an additional intake silencer, a new long support system and the improved stiffness of the engine itself.

Full compatibility with Yamaha's unique digital network system provides an impressive array of advanced control functions and options, including a broad spectrum of digital meters and the exclusive Y-COP anti-theft system.

Another attractive advantage of the link between the F80 and the digital network system is the availability of the integral VTS system (variable trolling speed control). This not only reduces the idle speed, but also allows you to control the trolling speed in 50rpm increments - ideal for fishing, for example.

Our newly designed bonnet with stylish graphics and cleverly designed water drainage channel on the side of the air intake completes the new F80. This new outboard looks and feels incredibly robust, that is one of those things that Yamaha owners notice and appeal to.
