Yamaha announces impressive WaveRunner 2017 line-up

Three promising EX series models and the rebirth of a racing cannon, the brand new GP1800

New EX series stands for affordable power and fun: EX - EX Sport - EX Deluxe

The mission was loud and clear: give the new EX series the inimitable technology, superior sailing characteristics, exclusive innovations and unparalleled reliability, which the WaveRunners owe their worldwide reputation. But then in the form of a significantly better affordable three-seater, as not previously shown.

The result, Yamaha's unsurpassed new EX series, completely turns the world upside down. Because it gives a totally new generation of owners and their families the opportunity to purchase a brand new WaveRunner with which a completely new world of pleasure lies ahead.

Powered by Yamaha's distinguished TR-1 engine
The EX models derive their strength from Yamaha's award-winning TR-1; a three-cylinder engine that excels by unprecedented high power and torque, but nevertheless 40% smaller and 20% lighter than its predecessor, the four-cylinder Yamaha MR-1. The TR-1 engine is also more economical. In addition, the 50 liter fuel tank is almost half that of competing models in the same category.

RiDE ™ system from Yamaha, the most intuitive sailing experience
The EX Deluxe features the unique and exclusive RiDE ™ system from Yamaha; a first in the maritime sector with which the available power can be metered accurately, both forwards and backwards. But also during the better cornering, Yamaha's RiDE ™ system comes in handy.

RiDE ™ is the most intuitive sailing experience you can think of. With the right lever you give gas forward and with the left lever backwards. Once on speed, speed can also be reduced with the left lever. Simultaneously squeezing both throttles sets the TR-1 engine in neutral. So no switching, nothing. The only thing that concerns you is to think about how much fun the RiDE ™ system * does not give you.

* It is good to know that the RiDE ™ system now comes standard on all new WaveRunner models, with the exception of the EX, EX Sport and SuperJet.

The new EX series: sailing for such an attractive price was unthinkable so far!
